, they insisted the election return obama to the white house and the gop return to the house requires both parties to come together in a fairground. but we know that didn't happen. i think everybody is aware, right, that it is the gerrymandering that has returned -- what they are calling middle ground is not middle ground, right? >> it isn't middle ground and there wasn't a dead locked election. they forget a couple of things number 1 that there was an election, and the people spoke and number two if you look at every survey -- i guess the second point is in this campaign there was a clear, clear outline by the president of where he stood, no secret. there had to be a continuation of the middle class tax cut, and an end of the tax cut for the very wealthy in -- in 2010 they got over 90%, the upper 1% -- 90% over that of the income growth, and the third point, the surveys show after the election all of them -- that if you ask people should there be continuation of the middle class tax cuts? yes. should there be a continuation of the tax cuts for the very wealthy? no.

: in the meantime here is my bff. >> good morning everybody. president obama has put a new fiscal cliff offer on the table.% now we are at 1.2 in revenue. the president says he is okay with extending the bush tax cuts for everyone making up to $400,000 a year. raising the estate tax on estates over $3.5 million to the rates they were back in 2009 which is 45%. as for savings we're asking for $800 billion in this new deal. i know it's a lot of numbers but here is the key. is the friars time that social security cuts have been on the table. the administration insists that they will pro text the poorest, but this is not a good move as far as a lot of progressives are concerned. though president is not budging for raising the medicare eligibility age at least yet. the deal extents unemployment benefits, and asks for a two-year increase of the debt ceiling. it has released a statement saying that any cuts to social security medicare or med indicated would be seen as selling out the middle class, and they could expect to work very hard to block this kind of deal. 74% of people
